Happy New Year.. almost!

Today was a great day! I am 17 weeks & 6 days pregnant .... according to my trusty Myspace baby count down. It was also my first day of being able to drive myself to work in about 2 weeks. The snow is finally melting away and it felt great to get up and have the freedom to drive around without fear of getting stuck in a ditch.

Going back to work also meant squeezing back into work clothes. I've made a mental note that tomorrow I start wearing my maternity pants. I just don't feel as professional knowing my button is undone, even if my tank top has the stretch power to hold up my slacks!

My mom and Sean's mom both got me some very stylish maternity clothes for Christmas and I couldn't be more grateful. Some women complain that fashion is the worst part of their pregnancy but so far I've got a good little wardrobe going. I'm sure by May I'll be flopping around in Sean's big t-shirts and spandex but until then I'm trying to stay cute and not too frumpy!

In more exciting news, Lance & Jenny just found out they are having a baby boy!! I must admit I'm feeling a tad bit of "little sister" envy only because I have to wait 2 more weeks to find out. The anticipation is killing me!

Well this is pretty much it for right now. I'll have another update after our doctor appointment this Wednesday.

Love,

17 weeks

I'm starting a new blog... about our baby on the way!

I'm now in week 17 of my pregnancy and feeling pretty good. I'm starting to get a little bump, which to me still looks like a beer gut. I've long since put away my jeans and some of my cuter clothes and traded them in for a few pairs of yoga pants and really stretchy tank tops.

Everyone at work now knows I'm expecting and only one person so far has wanted to touch my belly. I told her it's best to wait until it's actually round and no longer just a fat blob.

Sean has been very sweet and is already talking to my stomach and trying to feel the baby move. (I'm still waiting to feel something too) He's also been the enforcer of waking me up to tell me to roll back over on my side. So thankful for his support!

We have our next check up on Dec 31th and then an ultrasound on Jan 19th... where we will hopefully find out if we are having a boy or girl!

Well that's pretty much all for now. I've been snowed-in for the last 2 days and I've still got some Christmas shopping to do!
